Interlacing is a technique in which instead of scanning the image one-line-at-a-time if is scanned alternately, j.e., alternate lines are scanned at each pass. This achieves a doubling of the frame rate with the same amount of signal input. interlacing is used to keep bandwidth (amount of signal) dawn. Presently, only the !3514/A display adapters
use interlacing. Since Interlaced displays have been reported to be more flackery, with better technology available, most monitors are non-interlaced now.
